Laptops in the Spring

Back story for those who don't know... I bought a house and have a room mate, well house mate I guess cause we don't share a room - except for that weekend that we lost the heat and it was drastically cold in Nashville for some freakish reason and we slept in the living room with a kerosene heater going hoping the heat would creep up higher and higher from the mid forties to the 68-70 range we like it at... ANYWAY, the other day I was sitting on the couch and my friend Ben (that's the housemate's name) was sitting in a chair. We were chillin' out and using our laptops. It made me think of people who sit around reading the paper on a Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon. Funny how technology changes things like that. And now, we sit here doing the same thing. Only I'm not on the couch, I'm in a chair. The sun is shining brightly through the blinds and casting a warm glow on the floor where my feet are. It feels good. I like to lay in the sun. Not just OUTside but also INside... you know, like a cat does. Nothing like it on a Sunday afternoon... ahhh, napping in the sun beams. The birds are chirping in the front and back yard. There are daffodills in both places too - nice bright yellow ones. They were a total surprise since I bought the house in December and had never seen it in the spring or summer. A very pleasant surprise. I'm so glad it's spring.
