Crisis

So, I'm leaving my sister's house with my laundry yesterday... it was time to get ready for work. Mason wanted to come with Guy so he ends up on the front steps of his house while I am leaving. Then Tracy and Maxine join us. Maxine wants to be inside so Tracy puts her in and shuts the door. CLICK. The deadbolt was locked. No key. Maxine is stuck inside the house where the only window that is unlocked is on the second floor. No ladder. Hmmmm. Maxine has no clue what's going on. She's playing with a fly in the window, looking out at us, happy as can be. We take off screens. We try a knife, a Kroger Savings Card. Nothing's working. Tracy goes to look for a ladder at the neighbors. None. While she's gone Mason needs to go potty. He and Uncle Guy decide he should do it outside. Mason wants help. So Guy helps. Guy asks if he is done and he says yes. Guy goes to pull up the underwear.... he's not done. Guy gets wet. No biggie. Tracy calls Matt at work. He's coming home. Guy calls 911 and they say that a fire truck will be there in 5 minutes. Mason is exicted and sits on the steps to wait for their arrival. Guy decides to go across the street to get ready for work (late at this point). While getting ready he hears Tracy yelling his name from across the street. Not a good yell. A bad desperate yell. He sees her running across his yard. He opens the door and she's holding Mason who is covered in blood. He fell. Tracy leaves him with Uncle Guy who applies pressure and attempts to keep Mason calm by explaining every detail of what's going on, answering every question even when he asks them 4 times and talking about how God made our bodies, how blood goes through our hearts and through our veins. The wound on his head is bleeding like a rushing river. Still applying pressure. Talking more. Mason notices another cut on his finger. Then one on his toe. They aren't that bad he decides. The blood starts to slow down. It finally stops and we decided to check out the window to see if the fire truck arrived. It did. We prayed. We talked about the fire truck.... we see Maxine 'rescued' and then we head over to check out the firemen and their big truck. Mason's fine. Maxine is fine. I was fine until afterwards. It's messed me up.
