Mason Love

Sometimes when I am with my nephew I get tears in my eyes because I can't even believe that I get to spend time with him. He makes me laugh hilariously. He draws out my childlike wonder and excitment for life - helps me find full throttle joy in the simple things. When he was born, and I held him for the first time, I was apprehended by this connection... like my hands felt as thought they melted into him and we were bonded together. Then he was moved to Nashville and I resigned myself to being the distant (cool) Uncle Guy that would visit on birthdays and holidays. We'd talk on the phone and eventually email one day. Now, here I am living across the street from him! That's amazing. I love it.
